In the CRCNA, we have been seeing an exodus of youth leaving the church after high school. Some would even dare to say that many of them have left long before that. The statistics are concerning. The Fuller Youth Institute, has acknowledged (through research) that this is an issue across the North American denominations.
“Each year in the United States, over 1 million young people are likely to walk away from the church and from the full, abundant life Jesus offers.”
Fuller then adds, “But it doesn’t have to be this way.”
The CRCNA is part of a new initiative called TenX10. This ministry desires to change this narrative and reach 10,000,000 youth in ten years. Beginning in October, through TenX10, churches will have a plethora of resources, coaching, opportunities, and connections (many at no cost!) to help churches reach youth in their communities for the Kingdom.
Based on seven Discipleship emphasis:
- Grow Personally
- Train Mentors
- Nurture Young Peoples Belonging
- Center Teenagers Identity in Christ
- Explore Young People's Purpose
- Equip Diverse Families
- Lead Change
Our prayer is that this will, alongside what the CRCNA already does, give churches the support they are asking to be Disciple makers in their communities.
** Stay Tuned! ** The Official TENx10 launch is coming in October.
