....a respected theologian and pastor argues in this book that there is something for our physical bodies to do that decisively forms Christlikeness in us within the context of corporate worship. What we do with our postures, gestures, and movements in worship matters. How our senses of sight, scent, sound, taste, and touch are involved in worship matters. How our spontaneous and prescriptive activities form us in worship matters. All of it matters to faithful and fulsome worship for the sake of a body that is fully alive in the praise of God.

Thrive is thrilled to host a book discussion of "A Body of Praise" by W. David O. Taylor. This 2-part conversation will begin on Thursday, April 18th at 1:00 p.m. EST. We will be joined by Dr. Taylor who will share a bit about the book and help us walk through some of the foundations of embodied worship. The second conversation, cohosted by Katie Roelofs and Elly Boersma Sarkany will happen later this spring (date TBD) and will focus on practical application for CRC churches.

This discussion is not just for worship leaders and worship planners. The case for embodied worship intersects all facets of church life. Our conversation will be richer with many perspectives at the table.  Join us!
