As the wife of a pastor who recently went through an article 17, I think spouses should be allowed to attend the meeting where their spouse is having the article 17. And what is arguably one of the worst moments in a pastor's career, I was not able to be there to support my husband. There was very little support from the classes and definitely not from our church and I think it is important that the pastor have someone there to help him. I also think church visitors need to do a much better job of training councils and how to handle an article 17. As an observer, I thought the whole process needs a whole lot of improvement

Regarding comparing this to Wisconsin https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/some-are-comparing-the-us-capitol-riot-to-wisconsins-act-10-protests-in-2011-here-are-the-key-differences/ar-BB1cAQ01
and comparing what happened on January 6 to the protests after George Floyd's murder (a horrible occurrence where as the Jan 6 insurrection was solely based on Trumps lies) and the protests in Washington is not worth debating. I could say to you the same thing you initially commented except change "Democrat" to "Republican".
I am not pointing fingers. I feel you did that in your initial comment. Guess we will agree to disagree. I firmly believe Trump was behind January 6. And my hope he is held accountable.

And the fact that January 6 was instigated by a sitting President makes it far worse that the incidents you cite.
