Paola Fuentes Gleghorn
Paola Fuentes Gleghorn is a Communications Specialist for the CRC Office of Social Justice and for Faith Formation Ministries. She graduated from Calvin College with a degree in International Development Studies and a minor in Business. Paola is originally from Costa Rica, but grew up in Nicaragua where her family became missionaries working alongside local churches in the areas of pastoral training, youth leadership development, and evangelism. She did an internship with World Renew in Nicaragua in the summer of 2013. Paola and her husband Jeff currently live in Holland, MI where Jeff is a student at Western Theological Seminary.

Thank you CRC and OSJ for this important and much needed reminder that immigrants bless my life and that as an immigrant I also bless the lives of those around me. It is both disheartening and frustrating when some people around me and part of mainstream culture either explicitly or indirectly refer to me as a burden and other me with their language and assumptions. So, I am glad that the church and others around me are counteracting that narrative with this positive message. Muchas gracias!
