Chaplain Prayers: Death

Everlasting God, You are eternal.

But I am mortal, and my life is like grass that withers and dies.

How can I face death,

The end of all that you have given,

Of all that I have cherished?

Grant me the courage to move boldly forward to meet this enemy,

Knowing that You have already conquered Death

Through the sacrifice of your Son, my Savior.
