Message:

Hi! I’m so glad you’re here. Today I’m going to tell you a LOVE story.

Read the story.

Big Nutbrown Hare and Little Nutbrown Hare love each other SO much, don’t they? When I read their story, I thought about another story. It’s the story of how God loves people so much that God sent Jesus to the world to die on a cross and forgive our sins so that everyone who believes in him can live with God forever.

The Bible says this about God’s love: [Read Romans 8:38-39]

That’s how much God loves us. That’s how much God loves YOU!

And that’s the love story we think about when we celebrate the Lord’s Supper together.

Close with prayer or by singing with the congregation the fourth stanza of “As Moses Raised the Serpent Up,” singing in canon style as you help the children echo each phrase after it’s sung.
