Database of Pastors?

I'm on a search committee and we could really use a database of not only pastors available for call, but also churches that are looking to hire a pastor. Does anyone know of such a resource?

I'm on the search committee for a pastor at my church and we are looking for sample evaluation forms to use when we go to hear a pastor preach. Got any ideas?

Hi, Bev,

Good question and the answer is yes.  The log-in information to the portal can be shared with search team members.  Let me know if you have questions.  You can email me at profiles@crcna.org

Jeanne Kallemeyn

Can more than one person on a search team have access to the portal?

As the current pastor at this church I agree with everything in this article. It is worth noting that the first two are entirely the councils responsibility. The stable s I agree with everything in this article. It is worth noting that the first two are entirely the councils responsibility.  Establishing clear direction on the nature of an acceptable candidate and appointing a truly representative committee are vital. Regarding the fourth item,  each search committee should work with the system to be able to filter through applications and profiles in a way that honors the council's direction.

I was able to find a conversation on The Network about putting together a package to call a pastor (including a Letter of Call) here. It looks like the Letter of Call is now available in Word format for easy editing.

Jeanne, would you recommend any other resources? If so, would you be willing to share on The Network in case others have the same question as Yong Choi?

Hello, Yong Choi,

I'd be happy to learn more about your request and have a conversation with you regarding this need.  You can contact me at jkallemeyn@crcna.org

Blessings,

Jeanne

Hi, Wendy,

I understand that the list of 2017 candidates will be available in early March.  Just keep checking the link on the Candidacy website where they will be posted.

Thanks,

Jeanne

This is the 2016 list. I realize the 2017 list might not be ready yet, but I hope it will be uploaded and shared soon so that churches looking for seminary candidates will also be given contact information for those graduating this May.

Shawn, I may be proven wrong, but I doubt that a comprehensive database of pastors open to receiving a call will ever br available. Why? Because as soon as it becomes known in the church they are currently serving, their ability to lead effectively would largely end.

Advertise the position at The Network and in The Banner, and solicit names from the Ministerial Information Service. It's not perfect, but it can be productive.
