While the adults are discovering the Bible together, many Coffee Break Groups also offer children’s groups. Story Hour and Little Lambs both use play style curriculum and activities for children of different ages.

Leaders can use the lesson planning guides which include cut-outs and pictures for hands on Biblical learning. The Story Hour guide book caters to children ages four to six and includes 3 units with three themed lessons. The Little Lambs guide book is for two and three year olds and includes 44 sessions with added tips, songs, and patterns. Both the Story Hour curriculum and Little Lambs curriculum can be found online in the CRCNA digital archives.

Other Coffee Break children’s group resources include:

  • Story Cards -  Story cards are illustrated Bible stories for kids that can be paired with lesson books and can be given to children as a take-home lesson to share with their families.
  • Story Hour and Little Lambs Leader Connect - Leaders who want to get ideas and chat with other leaders can join the connect Facebook group. Leaders looking for advice or that want to join an online group of children’s leaders are encouraged to join. Talk with others about lesson plans, how-tos and more.

Story Hour and Little Lambs are based off from on one year programs. The program includes the Old Testament and New Testament connecting Christmas and Easter lessons. Children learn about creation and other stories of the Bible.
