Libna Sierra, originally from Mexico, has become a Spanish Coffee Break and Discover Your Bible workshop leader. She is married to Juan, a church planter in Port St. Lucie, Fl. Juan and Libna have two boys, Jonathan and Benjamin. In addition to being a pastor’s wife and mom, Libna teaches Spanish at a Christian school.
Over the past few years, Libna has been helpful in growing the Spanish speaking Coffee Break and Discover Your Bible ministries. She and Juan have used the DYB material in their own church for their small group ministry. Libna is a valuable writer and translator of the material, and has worked for the denomination translating materials. In addition, she has helped to organize training as well as retreat events that have included Spanish speakers. Libna loves God’s word and is excited that the Discover Your Bible material is catching fire in the Spanish speaking community.
A church in Whitinsville, MA has added a Spanish speaking group to their English speaking Coffee Break. She will lead a Spanish speaking training for three churches in northern NJ the first weekend in August. She is also involved in planning a retreat to be held in Wyckoff, NJ in October. This retreat will primarily be in Spanish, but will be translated into English for any non-Spanish speakers who wish to attend. If you are interested in any of these events or would like to explore the possibility of starting a Spanish speaking Coffee Break, we know Libna would love to hear from you. Libna can be contacted at [email protected] or email [email protected]
