On May 4, the Synodical Delegates will be joining together for their second pre-synod prayer gathering. This prayer guide, based on the Lament of Psalm 13, is being honest before God about our tiredness and weariness that so many feel today in our divided nation and divided churches.
Yet, as with most Laments, though we bring our lament before God, we still pray with the psalmist, "But, I trust in your unfailing love." And so we pray, still trusting God.
You are invited to join with the Synodical Delegates in using this prayer guide to pray. Use it individually or in prayer groups. Pray with church staff, council, small groups, and others as we seek God's face to trust in him in this time ahead.
