We are gathering 150 leaders and believers representing the full, rich ethnic diversity of the Christian Reformed Church in North America (CRCNA). This denominational prayer gathering is intentionally structured to have diverse ethnic representation leading worship, allowing us to praise God and intercede for the CRC together. Participants will experience the distinct prayer perspectives and worship styles that represent our many cultures—including Latino, Caucasian, Korean, African, SEAPI, and Pakistani/Indian communities—all coming together as one body for a singular purpose.
The name Project Antioch comes from Acts 13:1-3 where out of a time of prayer, worship, and fasting, Barnabas and Saul were set apart for the work to which the Spirit called them. It is apparent that prayer and fasting play an essential role in the life and mission of the church. We recognize the importance of laying an intentional foundation of prayer and fasting for the work the Spirit as called us.
The focus of this gathering is to worship and praise our great God, submitting and surrendering to the Spirit’s leading for the church, to intercede for the CRC ministries, congregations, and mission, and to pray that we would be sent out boldly in the power of the Spirit. (Acts 13:1-3)
