Fruit of the Spirit - a Modern Day Hymn

Fruit of the Spirit was composed by Glen Foster after a series of sermons on Galatians 5:22-23 by Pastor Chelsey Harmon at Christ Community Church (CRC) in Nanaimo, BC. Concurrent with the series was a display at the front of the church depicting a tree with branches that held hand-written notes by members of the congregation. Every week notes about each sermon topic representing the fruit, would be added to the tree over the coarse of nine weeks. The accompanying video was created using that tree and notes.
The song was recorded by members Glen Foster (guitar, bass and vocals), Marg Foster (vocals), Elise Boulanger (vocals), John Cline (piano), Thomas Neville (violin) and Eleanor Sinclair (harp). It has since been released to Christian Radio Stations internationally and the sheet music is available to churches at no charge. The music is available on the album Not Far Away by Glen Foster Group and available at glenfoster.ca.
