A Prayer Litany for Learning and Labor

Prayer:

Leader: Teach Us...

All: We bless you, Lord, for the privilege of growing in grace and knowledge.
Help us to be hungry for your truth, and to mature as your dearly loved children.
Keep us faithful, and safe us from false and distorted teaching.
Leader: By your Spirit, lead us into all truth
in the name of Jesus, the way, the truth, and life. Amen.

-optional prayer for teachers and learners from Lift Up Your Hearts #274

Sing: "O God, Who Gives to Humankind" - Lift Up Your Hearts #274

Prayer

Leader: Use Us...

All: Lord, our God,
Help us to be agents of your peace in [town, city, school, region]
We pray for all who work
        to provide housing,
        to resist racism,
        to provide fruitful employment,
to provide safe schools and places of training and learning,
        to develop artistic gifts,
        to provide health care,
        to provide spiritual care,
        to minister to refugees,
to bear witness to your love for us in Jesus Christ…
Leader: May we be agents of your peace and renewal,
That all your children may flourish.
     Through Jesus Christ, our Lord,
     Amen.
