Tools for Learning About Worship From ReFrame Media

As you think about this coming year and all the meetings and discussions that will occur about worship, how many of those will focus mainly on the mechanics or content of worship? Conversations about what to sing, how loud the drums should be, how fast the organist plays, what the focus of Advent should be, when to begin singing Christmas carols; those conversations seem to dominate meetings of worship committees and impromptu worship evaluations in the church fellowship hall. But what about conversations about the deep meaning and purpose of worship? About the biblical basis for and theology behind what we do in worship? How much worship education happens?  

I ran across a great resource a bit ago and want to share it with you. It is from the radio program GroundWork produced by ReFrame Media — a division of Back to God Ministries. [In other words, it's from the CRC.] If you haven't had a chance to listen to this two-part series on worship I encourage you to do so. Consider sharing the link with your worship committee, musicians, adult education class or small group and have them listen ahead of time in preparation for a discussion or listen to each episode together maybe even breaking each one up over 3 weeks.
