As part of a series highlighting the many resources available to Christian Reformed congregations from our denominational agencies, we’re taking time to spotlight the often-behind-the-scenes ministries that support faith formation across all ages and contexts. One of those is ReFrame Ministries.
What is ReFrame Ministries?
ReFrame Ministries is the Christian Reformed Church’s media ministry. Its work is centered on helping people encounter God’s Word and connect faith to everyday life through accessible, theologically grounded media. ReFrame produces resources for adults, children, families, and small groups, and does so in multiple languages—making it a valuable partner for churches in a wide variety of ministry settings.
Below are just a few of the resources ReFrame offers, along with practical ways congregations can put them to use.
A daily devotional for personal and communal faith formation
Today Devotional offers short, Scripture-centered reflections designed to help readers engage the Bible thoughtfully and consistently. The devotional is available in multiple formats, making it easy to integrate into church life.
How churches might use Today Devotional:
Because it’s also available in several languages, the Today Devotional can be especially helpful in multilingual congregations or for members who prefer to engage Scripture in their heart language.
Faith-forming resources for children and families
Kids Corner is designed to help children discover their place in God’s story through age-appropriate devotionals, Bible stories, audio content, and hands-on activities. It also provides thoughtful guidance for parents and caregivers navigating faith at home.
How churches might use Kids Corner:
Kids Corner works especially well for churches looking to strengthen intergenerational faith formation and support parents as primary faith mentors.
Inviting people into lives shaped by prayer
ReFrame Ministries also supports churches through a dedicated prayer ministry that encourages individuals and congregations to deepen their prayer life. This ministry regularly shares written prayers and prayer prompts rooted in Scripture and responsive to what’s happening in the world, helping people pray with both honesty and hope.
Rather than offering formulas, ReFrame’s prayer resources model prayer as a practice of listening, lament, gratitude, and trust, forming Christians who are comfortable bring their whole lives before God.
How churches might use ReFrame’s prayer resources:
Like ReFrame’s other ministries, these prayer resources are available in multiple languages, making them especially valuable for diverse congregations seeking to pray together across cultures and contexts.
Deep, accessible Bible study through conversation
Groundwork is a Bible-focused podcast and radio program that explores Scripture in depth while remaining accessible for everyday listeners. Episodes are designed to help people understand the broader story of the Bible and apply it thoughtfully to daily life.
How churches might use Groundwork:
In addition to its English-language ministries, ReFrame offers devotionals and media content in many other languages. This makes it an important resource for churches serving multilingual congregations, global members, or communities where English is not the primary language.
How churches might use these resources:
