Groundwork: Biblical Foundations for Life

Basic spiritual disciplines often seem like a bunch of “to-dos;” easier said than done. Spend time daily with God. Get into His Word regularly. Pray more often and more earnestly. Recently, Groundwork continued a series on spiritual disciplines that is less about doing, and more about being or living. How do we live our faith with discipline? Join Dave Bast and Scott Hoezee in discussions about the edifying practice of spiritual disciplines in daily life.

Groundwork is a half hour radio and podcast, Bible-teaching program that digs into tough issues from God’s Word. Dave and Scott guide listeners in thoughtful, yet casual conversations, leading them to a practical understanding of the Bible in today’s culture.

Silence & Solitude. These spiritual disciplines have a long history in Christian tradition, and Jesus, Himself, regularly incorporated silence and solitude in His own life.

Service & Giving. The Bible says a lot more about money in the context of serving and giving than it does about most other subjects. We may not be very interested in it, but today that’s what we’re talking about with guest host, Jeff Monroe.

Study & Memorization. Pastor Jon Brown joins the discussion about how Psalm 119 shows us that the study, memorization, meditation, and contemplation of Scripture nurture our relationship with God.

Speaking of spiritual discipline. Have you ever asked yourself these questions: What is Lent, and why does it matter? Lent is a 40-day season before Easter to focus on the hope of Jesus Christ through His death on the Cross and His Resurrection. Groundwork’s sister publication, the Today Daily Devotional, is offering a special devotion series to help you refresh, refocus, and renew your faith during the season of Lent. Lent Devotion Series

Groundwork is produced by ReFrame Media in partnership with Words of Hope. Visit MeetReFrame.com and sign up for a special email series introducing you to ReFrame’s entire family of programs.
