Regardless of your geographic location, winter is a season that can sometimes drag. Between the shorter days and colder weather, many of us battle cabin fever and don't get out as often.

I'm curious, what kind of events is your church planning this winter to invite people in? Got any creative or fun ideas to share with other churches?

Some of my past favorites include a board game night, sledding, pie contest, and hopping in the youth group van to "surprise shovel" driveways.

I'd love to hear what your church is doing or has done in the past!

I would also encourage the church to go out and develop relationships with the lost and share the gospel with them. What is your church doing to equip them to share the gospel with others? Go and Tell is an easy and practical way to equip you to become a fisher of men (Matthew 4:19). This three hour interactive seminar will provide you with the tools to “be active in sharing your faith so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ.” (Philemon 6) Go and Tell is free online at www.declarethegospel.com

Similar to Jim, I'm also curious to see how churches are reaching out! In today's culture it can be very intimidating to get people in the door without building a relationship first. Any community events with which the churches are participating?
