Safe Church Ministry hosted a book study through the month of October on A Church Called Tov: Forming a Goodness Culture That Resists Abuses of Power and Promotes Healing, by Dr. Scot McKnight and Laura Barringer (we also hosted a webinar with Scot on this book, which you can view here).

We deeply appreciated learning, listening, and studying with so many on what a goodness culture might look like in our churches. Quick note: on December 8th at 12 pm (Eastern) we will be hosting our December Safe Church Webinar which will feature a conversation with a panel of CRCNA Justice Ministries Staff talking about ways of creating cultures of goodness, you can register here.

Also, in our final few book study sessions we wondered together about a few tangible ways we may be able to use what we learned. Several people considered hosting a book study of their own. We developed some study guides with discussion questions, quotes, and themes for hosting a book study in five sessions. You can find each of the study guides as word documents attached to this Network article.

If you would like to connect to brainstorm and wonder about ways of hosting a book study like this, we are available for you, or to connect you with a Safe Church Coordinator who may be able to come alongside you.
