Looking for a way to educate children and youth about safe boundaries and to empower them to actively participate in creating a safe environment for themselves and others? Recently revised, the Circle of Grace is a distinctly Christian approach to teaching children and youth about body and heart safety and respectful relationships.  Rooted in the conviction that every human being is sacred and that God's love and presence is with us, helping us to navigate confusing and difficult situations, the curriculum teaches children and youth to:

  • identify and maintain appropriate physical, emotional, spiritual, and sexual boundaries;
  • recognize when boundary violations are about to occur;
  • and demonstrate how to take action when boundaries are threatened or violated.

The curriculum is comprised of 1-4 lessons for each grade level, K-12, that are designed not to replace but to supplement and enhance a church's existing education program. With topics like sacredness and boundaries, coping with stress and pressure, tech savvy or tech safe?, and saying "no" to disrespect, Circle of Grace lessons fit well with any currently used curriculum.

The revised and updated Circle of Grace material is now available through the Mennonite Church USA. All churches who are currently using the older version of the Circle of Grace curriculum are strongly encouraged to acquire the updated version. You can find more information and order the curriculum here.
