Hello friends,
This month I want to share a story about one church leader in the southwest US who leads a bible study for skeptics, people who are curious about faith and unbelievers
"On Wednesdays, I lead a bible study group of unbelievers"
Charles*, a young man in his early 20's explained that he works in a community of unchurched people and that there's a lot of darkness in his community. But he feels called to the people in this place and to talk about faith with people who are unfamiliar with church or are skeptics. He said, "I feel called into this relationship with them."
Charles was born and raised in this mid-sized city in the southwestern US and has a love for his hometown pizza joints and AAA Baseball Team. He’s passionate about relationships and walking through life with friends. His ministry, through a local Christian Reformed Church, is specifically focused at ministering to Gen Z, new believers, and skeptics.
But Charles needs training, resources, and people to walk alongside him when ministry gets tough. Charles needs more encouragement, training, resources and mentors who will help strengthen his ministry and his personal walk with Christ. This is where Thrive comes in. Faith Formation resources that Thrive provides can help him as he walks through scripture with his Wednesday night bible study.
Thank you for your faithful partnership in strengthening churches and equipping young leaders like Charles!

Make a Will Month
August is National “Make a Will” Month—a timely reminder of the importance of thoughtful estate planning.
One woman recently shared how deeply moved she was when, as executor of her parents’ estate, she discovered that a small portion of their modest estate had been designated to charities they loved—including ministries of the CRC.
Her parents weren’t wealthy. They simply made generosity part of their legacy.
Like them, you don’t need great wealth to create an estate plan. If you own a home, have investments, or hold personal assets, having a will or trust ensures your wishes are honored and your values continue beyond your lifetime.
The CRC offers resources to help you think through these decisions, including a helpful “Sharing Your Estate Plan with Your Family” worksheet.
