Hello friends,
Last time I wrote to you, I shared about ministry renewal in Nebraska. Today, I’d love to tell you about a powerful moment of faith formation in British Columbia. This year, Thrive is focusing on equipping CRC congregations to pursue renewal and deeper discipleship and provide faith formation resources to churches across the USA and Canada.
On a cool March morning at Duncan Christian Reformed Church in Duncan, Pastor Dan Schultz stood before a congregation filled with joyful anticipation. Nine individuals—ranging in age from 12 to 90—publicly professed their faith and entered the waters of baptism.
“It was a day unlike any other,” Schultz recalled. “We celebrated baptisms, professions of faith, and affirmations of faith all in one service. The Spirit was moving.”
Among those baptized were students raised in Christian homes, young adults invited by friends, and even a 90-year-old man joyfully “doused” with water in lieu of entering the baptismal tank.
“Every story was different,” Schultz said, “but each one spoke of the same God drawing people in and restoring hearts.”
Faith formation is also taking root among the next generation. Students gather before school to explore Scripture and the Heidelberg Catechism, asking together: How does this shape the way we live today? They meet where they are—and experience Jesus together.
Stories like these are unfolding across the CRC because faithful supporters like you who believe in long-term Kingdom impact. Thank you for your faithful partnership in strengthening churches like Duncan CRC and equipping congregations across the US and Canada for renewal!

Giving commodities to support ministry
Did you know that in some cases, giving commodities—such as grain, livestock, or other agricultural products—can be more cost-effective than giving cash? Gifts like these may reduce taxes while making a significant ministry impact.
