Every year, we hope for simple stories with tidy “happily ever after” endings. But as this year’s ministry report reminds us, the real work of the church is more like the rebuilding in Ezra: full of both joy and sorrow, progress and challenge. And yet, God remains faithfully at work through it all.

Across the denomination, congregations gathered for prayer and renewal. Young leaders stepped into mission. Churches wrestled with hard questions while also celebrating new opportunities. Ministries supported communities through discipleship, crisis response, church planting, and spiritual formation.

Some stories were large and far-reaching; others were small and deeply personal. All of them pointed to the Holy Spirit quietly renewing God’s people, often in gradual, unexpected ways.

As we look back on the past year, may we see not just programs or numbers, but a community growing, learning, and serving together. And may we give thanks that, even in a complex year, the Lord has made us glad.
