Josh,

Nice blog post,  I definitely agree with your suggestion about a nap would do wonders when you’re frustrated.  In regards to the reactions, you got Sunday night when you wore a bow tie:

I think you should do a social experiment to judge the reactions between regular tie, bow tie, or dare I say no tie.  It could turn into another blog.

Thanks for your comments.

1. Actually we do have an about us page locate here:

It's located on the right side of the homepage under "New To The Network?" We are thinking of ways to better highlight this page and are working to update this page in particular the video. http://network.crcna.org/about

2. The Banner recenlty did an artilce about The Network here: http://www.thebanner.org/church-at-work/article/?id=3118

Thanks again for you feedback it is greatly appreciated and helps us in improving the Network.

Thanks JCarpenter for letting me know.  I believe they have been corrected.  One silver lining is that errors prompted your very first comment on The Network.  As a result, you are now entered in our Comment of the Day contest.  You can increase your chances of winning today or another day this week by commenting on another topic, blog post or you can tell us what you think about the look of The Network. :-)

Randy,

First, thanks for the suggestion.

Second, can you elaborate on what you had in mind.  The Network has many different ways people connect: via the guided networks (Pastors, Elders, Deacons) and via discussion networks/forums (Faith Formation, Stewardship, Church Order). Was one of these ways what you had in mind or something else? Are there any topics you wanted to address but you felt did not fit in the Pastors forum?  Would this need to be private to ensure confidentiality?

Let us know.

Doug,

Thanks for your comment about the need to find ways to improve the search process.  I hope The Network can be used as suche a resource.

FYI, there is another discussion thread in the Church Aministration forum that also deals with church's search processes. You may want to offer your prespective based on your search team experience.  I encourage you to check it out and offer your thoughts:
